Those were the last words that I heard him say before he slammed the steel door. At that point I still had hope. After hours of begging, then finally crying, it hurt to even breathe.
It was then that I realized that he really was never going to let me go. I slumped to the ground, defeated. I refused to eat, and drank little. Hoping that he might come in and force me to eat. That at least, would've showed me that he still cared. Soon I could feel my ribs, and count them, but not see them. For there was no light. There wasn't even a window. I couldn't tell day from night, or the seasons.
